Brighton manager Fabian Hurseler spoke to BBC Sport after his side were forced to settle for a draw at the Amex Stadium: “Not our best game in terms of intensity, the way we got the ball out of our hands and the way we took our chances. We only deserved a draw.”

“When a team presses individually, it is not so easy to control the game. We tried to find a way. We managed it in the first half, but not in the second.

“We should be disappointed because we wanted to win at home, to give the fans another victory, but we couldn’t do it. It’s part of the process, we have to keep going and win these games.”

On why he was booked: “Don’t know. I didn’t say anything. We need to be careful with questions (further about officials).”
