The Jersey Alliance said it regrets to announce the closure of its political party (Jersey Alliance).

A political party in Jersey said it was “with regret” that it had to announce its closure.

Members of the Jersey Alliance asked the Royal Court to dissolve the political party on Wednesday.

The Jersey Alliance said that despite the “setback”, many of its members remained “committed” to contributing to the island’s future.

The statement said former members could take part in the 2026 elections either as independent candidates or as part of a new political entity.

Chairman Gregory Guida said: “It is with regret that we announce the closure of one of the few political parties ever established in Jersey.

“True to our name, the Jersey Alliance was conceived as a dynamic collection of people of proven excellence, motivated by altruism and capable of collective action,” he said.

“While our Jersey Alliance model has been rejected by the electorate, our group includes very capable people, many of whom are already making plans for the 2026 election.”
