If they had opposed the work, the projects would not have been completed,” said Revanth Reddy, saying that farmers, especially in Kollapur and other areas, also lost their lands due to the Srisailam project.

Stating that the state government was trying to set up an industrial park in Kodangal with the intention of providing 25,000 jobs to unemployed youth, he accused the BRS of creating obstacles and inciting farmers to oppose the acquisition of 1,300 acres.

Regardless of the opposition, an industrial park will be set up at Kodangal, he said, adding that if necessary, the compensation will be increased from Rs 10 lakh per acre to Rs 20 lakh per acre.
Claiming that after his imprisonment, tribal people approached him to resolve cases against them, he said the chief minister and the law are different entities. According to him, he had no idea when they would even be released on bail.

Promising to spend Rs 20,000 crore a year on development work in Mahabubnagar, of which Rs 1 lakh crore would be spent in five years, he said water would be supplied to 20 lakh acres in the district.
