UAE to repair damaged water pipes and networks in Gaza

Operation Chivalry 3 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the municipality of Deir el-Balah in the center of the Gaza Strip to implement a project to maintain and operate damaged water networks, pipelines and wells in the city.

The initiative aims to improve access to water for residents and displaced people following a worsening water crisis in recent months.

The agreement provides for the repair and operation of water supply infrastructure damaged by conflict in the region, which will ease the municipality’s burden and ensure water supply to areas densely populated by displaced people.

As part of this initiative, the UAE will provide urgent humanitarian solutions to the Deir al-Balah municipality, including funding to restart water wells and reservoirs, many of which have been damaged.

The project aims to ease the burden on the municipality caused by the destruction of water supply networks and the lack of operational resources.

Operation Knight Knight 3 was actively involved in the repair and expansion of water pipelines in various governorates of Gaza. The initiative previously implemented a project to restore water networks in northern Gaza, Gaza City and Khan Younis as part of its humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
