Rev. Al Sharpton to speak at King Memorial Baptist Church’s anniversary on Dexter Avenue

MONTGOMERY, Alabama ((WSFA) – Baptist minister, civil rights activist and radio show host Reverend Al Sharpton will be a guest speaker at Historic Montgomery Church anniversary celebration.

King Memorial Baptist Church on Dexter Avenue will celebrate 147 years on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m.

The theme for this year’s event is “Building a Legacy of Faith: Standing Firm, Strengthening, Forging Forward.”

“We are thrilled that Reverend Sharpton will support us in celebrating our church anniversary,” Dexter said. pastorRev. Dr. Allen J. Sims, Sr. “His work for justice and equality is noteworthy, and we look forward to his visit with us.”
