Ermedin Demirovich saves a point for Stuttgart in a Bremen thriller

Stuttgart’s Ermedin Demirovich forced an impressive Werder side to settle for a 2-2 draw in a thrilling match on round 12 of the Bundesliga.

Njinmah refused woodwork

By the end of the first half, Werder came agonizingly close to regaining the lead. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Njinmah unleashed a spectacular strike that was beaten by Nübel, but his shot went wide of the post. The frame canceled out what could have been a Goal of the Month contender and the score remained level at half-time.

The scene steals the show

As the second half progressed, both teams strived for victory. Bremen’s persistence paid off in the 77th minute when he came on as a substitute. Jens Stage had an impact. The Danish midfielder, who had been on the field for about 20 minutes after Bittencourt’s replacement, grabbed the ball in the penalty area from a corner and fired it into the net, sending the Weser Stadium into raptures.

Demirovic strikes again

While Werder thought they had secured all three points, Demirovic had other ideas. In the 85th minute, the Stuttgart striker once again demonstrated his clinical performance. In the final minutes, both teams fought for the winner, and the tension grew. Earlier, Stiller received a yellow card in the 54th minute for a foul on Bittencourt. The drama continued like Marvin Ducksh was booked in the 87th minute, reflecting the intensity of the closing stages. Werder’s dominance from set pieces was evident throughout the match, as they took an impressive 11 corners compared to Stuttgart’s 2, but ultimately failed to score the winning goal.
