Record Home Loans Approved in 2024

MUSCAT: The Oman Housing Bank has approved 3,201 housing loans worth over 130 million Romanian francs during the first nine months of 2024, the highest loan approval rate since its inception. The loans, distributed across Oman’s provinces, aim to support citizens with subsidized financing and reduce waiting list delays.

Since its inception in 1977, the bank has provided 68,979 loans worth over RO 1.6 billion. CEO Musa bin Masoud Al Jadidi emphasized the bank’s commitment to providing citizens with affordable housing opportunities and boosting the country’s construction sector.

Al Jadidi highlighted the bank’s efforts to overcome challenges and make credit accessible to eligible citizens, which strengthens the institution’s role in Oman’s development process. – SHE
